Quiet little mouse, what are you doing? Confused little creature, so lost and afraid. No need to cower in fear, no need to huddle in terror. They’ll stop eventually, little one. The shouting will subside, the stinging will fade, and the bruise will turn.
Be warned little mouse. The fear. The pain. The anger. They will burn like fire. Even when you are a very big mouse, you will remember. Never forgetting is our curse. It is the curse of our kind.
Didn’t they tell you little mouse? We’re all a little mad here.
